中国(四川)-南亚经贸合作圆桌会议(以下简称“圆桌会议”)始创于2010年，是为推动四川“南向发展”战略创立的国际性会议。圆桌会议秉承“创新发展”的理念，由中国贸促会、四川省人民政府和南盟工商会(SAARC)联合主办，四川省贸促会具体承办，现已成功举办六届，为促进四川与南亚八国经贸合作，提升四川开放型经济水平发挥了重要作用。2016年，第七届“圆桌会议”已被列入“中国西部国际博览会”重大活动，成为四川对南亚沟通交流的重要窗口和平台。
一、“ 圆 桌会 议 ”推 动 高 层 交往，促 进 国 际 交流
双方政府、商协会、知名企业负责人出席了前六届“圆桌会议”，建立多边合作机制，为“走出去”和“请进来”牵线搭桥，促进沟通交流。
二、“ 圆 桌会 议 ” 坚 持 创 新 发 展，融入一 带 一路
南亚八国是“一带一路”战略重要沿线国家，也是四川对外发展的重点区域。圆桌会议注重强化四川对南亚国家窗口效应，充分发挥商协会纽带桥梁作用，在各国商会之间开展广泛协商，使圆桌会议常办常新。
三、“ 圆 桌会 议 ”突出 经贸 合作， 实现 互利共 赢
第一至第六届“圆桌会议”，通过“以会带展、以展促会”的模式，配套举办了各类展会和洽谈会，签署了一批项目合作协议，双方企业形成有效互动，真正实现互利共赢。
砥砺奋进铸华章，继往开来启新程，第七届“中国(四川)-南亚经贸合作圆桌会议”将于2016年11初在成都举办，会议将围绕“南亚国家基础设施建设与发展”和“投资贸易和产业转移”两大议题，积极寻找合作空间，不断开创双方经贸合作新局面。
为夯实四川与南亚国家在贸易与投资方面的务实合作，在本次圆桌会期间将同时举办“印度专题(项目)推介会暨企业洽谈会”;“一带一路：中巴经济走廊商机介绍会暨巴基斯坦旁遮普省商务投资专场说明会”：“尼泊尔灾后重建项目推介会”和中国(四川)-南亚标准化合作论坛等活动。
South Asia – Sichuan Business Promotion Round-Table Conference
South Asia – Sichuan Business Promotion Round-Table Conference (hereinafter referred to as “the roundtable conference”) founded in 2010 with the permanent site at Chengdu, Sichuan. It is an international conference aiming to promote the Sichuan’s south-toward development Strategy. With a concept of innovative development, the round-table conference is a joint initiative of CCPIT, Sichuan Provincial People’s Government and SAARC Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and the CCPIT Sichuan Council as its organizer. It has been successfully held for six sessions and played an important role in strengthening economic relations between Sichuan and South Asian Countries (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka), and in promoting the quality of open economy of Sichuan province. In 2016, the seventh round-table conference has been listed as important event of “Western China Fair”, and has become an important window and platform for the exchanges between South Asia and Sichuan.
I. “The round-table conference” to push forward high-level visits and international exchanges
The main leaders of the governments, chambers, associations, and businesses from the two sides attended the former six sessions, with the multilateral cooperation mechanism established, which acts a bridge for Sichuan businesses to “go global” and South Asian businesses to “come in”.
II. “The round-table conference” to adhere to innovative development and integrate into the “One Belt One Road” initiative
Not only are the eight South Asian countries important along the “One Belt One Road”, but also they are key for Sichuan’s outward development. The round-table conference attaches great importance to strengthening the window effect of Sichuan to South Asian Countries; makes full play of the role of chambers being a bridge; and conducts widely consultations, ultimately making the round-table conference refreshed from time to time.
III. “The round-table conference” to highlight economic cooperation and achieve mutual benefits
From the first session to the sixth one, related events i.e. exhibitions and one-on-one conferences were launched, in which a number of project cooperation agreements were inked, businesses from the two sides created effectively interactions and realized mutual benefits.
Pressing ahead, brushing a new chapter, and starting a new journey, the seventh “South Asia – Sichuan Business Promotion Round-Table Conference” will be held in Chengdu in early of November, 2016. The conference will, centering around two themes, one is Infrastructure construction and development of South Asian countries and another Investment and trade and industrial transfer, proactively look for new cooperation fields and constantly create new opportunities for both Sichuan and South Asian Countries.
To cement the Cooperation on trade and investment between South-Asian Countries and Sichuan, the parallel meetings ofIndia Promotion Seminar & B2B Meetings; One-Belt-One-Road: Business Opportunities in China-Pak Economic Corridor, Special Session on Business and Investment Opportunities in Punjab Province of Pakistan; Promotion Seminar of post-earthquake Reconstruction Projects in Nepal and Promotion Seminar of post-earthquake Reconstruction Projects in Nepal will be held during the Round-table Conference.
